White paint can be very tricky with the warm whites, cool whites, neutral whites, and soft whites...The list goes on and on! I’ve curated my favorite white paint colors that I continuously use throughout my clients' homes in hopes it will help narrow down the decision for you.

What are the best sheens to use per area of the home?

I feel like most people know the answer to this, but I do get this question a lot during my paint consultations, I believe as a reassurance that they are making the right decision!

Ceilings - Flat, always.

Walls - Eggshell. Easiest to clean.

Baseboards/Trim - Semi-gloss.

Cabinetry - Satin, unless you’re going for a cool lacquered look in an office or library!

How do I know which white to pick?

To be honest, I’m a visual person (clearly) and I have to see a swatch on the walls. Colors change throughout the day and the best way to choose a color is to visually see it on your walls. Test a few, check it out throughout the day, and take some notes…You’ll make the best decision that way!

What’s your favorite white for great rooms or foyers with floor to ceiling trim?

This is a tough one because the character and other natural elements of the home matter, however my favorites are White Dove and Chantilly Lace. I love these whites all over a room full of floor to ceiling trim painted all one color for a major wow factor!
