#TheClaremontEstate project is officially live!

There were many details involved in this kitchen upgrade. We played with the idea of doing a complete renovation, but found it to be more cost effective to keep the existing countertops and backsplash. This was a challenge to design around at first, but I love a challenge!

This is not your typical all white kitchen with white marble and I'm digging it! We refinished the existing cabinets - Uppers are Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore at 75% strength and lowers are stained Special Walnut. We added a new RH pendant above the sink to bring a warm glow to the kitchen. The antique brass finishes really completed the space for me which included the cabinet hardware and charming shelf brackets. This home had a lot of original character so we wanted to stay in the brass family and fill it with organic warmth. Let me know what you think!

The Claremont Estate project shows how keeping original features can still create a fresh and practical kitchen design. I liked how the existing countertops and backsplash were kept while other details were updated. While studying construction and design topics during a busy college term, I relied on urgent engineering assignments when technical coursework became difficult to manage. It helped me stay focused while learning about planning, materials, and practical design choices. Small changes can make a space feel completely different.
